How do I care for my Crystal File?

Personal Use: The files are very easy to maintain. Simply wash in hot, soapy water (with or without a brush).
Professional Use: Burton's Crystal Files can be repeatedly sterilized with either heat (avoid repeated use of extremely high temperatures), liquid, or UVB lighting.

Can I put my Crystal Nail File in the dishwasher?

Yes. The hot temperature of your dishwasher will not affect your Crystal Nail File. Please do not use your dishwasher if your nail file is decorated with hand painted images, stones, or silver designs.

To ensure that you enjoy your Crystal Nail File for a very long time, please remember that it is a glass product - to make our nail files the most beneficial for your health, we do not add any metal or foreign elements to them. Please do not apply excess pressure, and do not allow it to fall onto a hard surface. When not using your Crystal File, please keep it in the protective tube or sleeve which is provided to you.

Can I use my Crystal File on artificial nails?

Yes. For best results, dip your Crystal File repeatedly in water while filing your artificial nails. We recommend using the thicker files (3mm or 4mm) on artificial nails.

We strongly recommend traveling with our Travel Files (rounded at both ends), which breeze through airport security.

Yes. You can use your Crystal File on your dog. In fact, it is Reuben's (Crystal B's dog) favourite nail file! Burton's Crystal Files may be used on cats and birds as well. We recommend using the thicker files (3 or 4mm) on your pets.

Can I use my Crystal Nail File on my calloused skin?

Our Foot File is designed especially to remove hardened and calloused skin from your feet. The best results are achieved by first softening the skin by immersing your feet in water or using your foot file directly in your bath or shower. To maintain baby soft feet, we recommend regular use of you Crystal foot File. For tough to treat feet; use our Ultra Heel Smoother when necessary.

Can we have our company logo put onto Crystal Nail Files?

Yes. To have your logo permanently sand blasted onto the files, we need to have your company logo in an AI or CDR format. The minimum order for sand blasting is 50 files.

Can I order a custom designed hand painted nail file?

Yes. You can order any image that you desire. There is no minimum order. Because your file will be individually hand painted by our artist in Europe, and then baked to ensure longevity, your order may take up to six weeks.

I want to place an order, but I don't have a credit card. Can I send you a check?

Yes. We do accept checks from Canada and the USA. We will ship your order as soon as we receive and deposit your check.
